Welcome!
My name is Kerry.
And this is my blog. Thanks for stopping by!
I initially started this blog in 2013 to document and keep my friends and family informed of life and day-to-day happenings as I lived and worked as a nurse in Haiti for seven months. I've since returned to the States and decided to continue the blog as a means to continue processing about Haiti, sharing my heart, and rambling on about other random life-happenings.
Some ‘must-knows’ about me: I am a daughter, sister, niece and aunt and fiercely love my position in each of those roles (especially aunt...I am obsessed with my niece and nephew!) Being a nurse is my professional pursuit, though many would say those nurse-like characteristics are evident in my everyday life and interactions. I love puzzles: jigsaw, sudoku, riddles, loading the dishwasher...anything. I frequently break out into a British accent and I love the idea of drinking tea, I just don’t do it very often. When it comes to salsa I prefer it medium spicy, and I don’t eat olives or mushrooms if I can help it. Adventuring outdoors (camping/hiking) and traveling (near or far to visit friends) are how I like to spend vacations. I love Jesus Christ and seek to pursue and glorify God through my thoughts, affections and actions; and though my flesh may fail me, His grace is sufficient and made perfect in my weakness.
**The inspiration behind the title: OF BEING OCCUPIED BY CHRIST
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me.
And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
